Burlington is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 618 at the 2010 census, up from 452 at the 2000 census. As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 452 people, 171 households, and 127 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,277.2 people per square mile (498.6/km²). There were 174 housing units at an average density of 491.6 per square mile (191.9/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.90% White, 1.33% Asian, 0.22% from other races, and 1.55% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.66% of the population.

There were 171 households out of which 39.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.5% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.7% were non-families. 21.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.07. In the village the population was spread out with 29.0% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 10.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median income for a household in the village was $53,438, and the median income for a family was $59,886. Males had a median income of $49,375 versus $32,031 for females. The per capita income for the village was $25,349. About 1.7% of families and 5.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.3% of those under age 18 and 5.1% of those age 65 or over.

Dixon is a city and county seat of Lee County, Illinois, United States.The population was 15,733 as of the 2010 census, down from 15,941 at the 2000 census. The city is named after its founder John Dixon, who operated a rope ferry service across Rock River, which runs through the city. Dixon is the boyhood home of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan. The city is also the site of the Lincoln Monument State Memorial, marking the spot where Abraham Lincoln joined the Illinois militia at Fort Dixon in 1832 during the Black Hawk War.
